10/19/2006: "Sequential Circuits Pro One"

Yes, it is finally mine. I first used the Pro One back in 2001, when a good friend of mine needed me to babysit it until he moved. I had it for maybe a month or two, but it left a huge impression. Since then, I've been saving and watching ebay for a good deal. And what a deal I got!!
Now I can jump head first into electronic music. This keyboard has 28 knobs, now I could go into detail on what those knobs do, but I honestly don't know. I do know that it has 2 sequencer banks that can store up to 40 notes, two oscalators, an LFO and two appegiators. I've already hooked it up to ableton live and started making beats. I've been into psytrance for a long time, but now I can make my own! This keyboard was made in 1981 and is used by many types of musicians:
Battlecat (Tha Dogg Pound/Snoop Dogg)
Depeche Mode
Greg Hawkes of the Cars on "Just What I Needed"
Roger Manning of The Moog Cookbook and Jellyfish!
New Order
Nine Inch Nails
There were only 10,000 of these pro ones made so I feel very fortunate to have grabbed one in decent condition. I'll make sure to post my first tune when it's completed!
