One Red Paperclip!!

This guy knows how to use the internet! Just by trading items, he is planning on owning his own house. The kicker is - he started by trading one red paperclip! At the time of this writing, he currently has worked up to one year's rent free in Phoenix.

Family Values?

"Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." (Isaiah 13:15-16)

"And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword." (Joshua 6:21)

"The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked." (Psalms 58:10)

With family values like these, it's no wonder this country has been waging righteous wars and segregating people by sex and color. The Bible needs to go away. The conscious, spiritual people of the world need a democratic religion that is flexible, represents all forms of life, tolerant of culture and gives people strength to be loving, honest and positive. Sure, it will never happen, but at least we could realize that religions which justify mental and physical oppression over non-believers are not true to the creators intentions. I understand nothing can be created without destroying a previous entity, but we can definately reduce the amount of suffering among us. Recycle your bible.

Comic Stuff

Eugene had a small comic thing this weekend at Cosmic Pizza. I really should participate next time. Regardless, there were some cool books that I picked up.

I remember this guy from ape last year:

Tales of Mere Existence by Lev. He makes great films and comics.

I very excited to see THE BIZARRO BALONY SHOW with Dan Piraro on the 24th. The cartoonist will be performing songs, poems, theatre and more in Eugene at 7pm at the University. Be there or be balony.
