Off to the BURN!!!
Wow! As I write this, I'm going on perhaps 5 hours of sleep over the last two days. I spent the last night helping my friend finish his triceratops party truck. It's incredible!! For the last two weeks, I've been dropping in and doing some drilling, cutting, carpet laying... whatever needs to be done to finish this prehistoric rave machine. Much of the dino can't be driven on the highway, so Justin designed the triceratops with removable legs, hump and sheild. All these parts glow red and will be stored on the deck on top of the truck. I've had the most incredible time bonding with the truck and friends, it's hard to believe the best is to come!!! We leave tonight, so I've got to get my ass back home and finish packing. I will miss you all and look forward to telling you about my week in the Nevada desert.
Check out the photos I took while we were building the triceratops...

Burningman Prep

My anticipation for Burningman has been building for the last two weeks. I've been helping my friend Justin complete his art car, a Triceratops. I believe he started this project back in December and now it is crunch time. Many of his friends are spending their entire free time welding, drilling and cutting out the dinosaur art car. I can't imagine how much money has gone into this project, but I've seen first hand the amount of work that it's taken. It's amazing. The final car will be put together at the event, the legs, horns and shield will be driven down in a seperate truck. I hope we are able to assemble the rest of the legs before Friday. This weekend, I installed the carpet in the interior. I'll post more photos as the triceratops is completed!

You eat bugs
Foods like yogurt use beetle extracts as color dyes. The female cochineal beetles and their eggs are used to make red dyes in yogurt, Hershey candies, Tropicana grapefruit juice, and other common foods. If you are a vegetarian, contact the food and drug administration and let them know you are one of millions of people who want more descriptive labels on the food you buy. Printing "yellow #6" is a joke, I want to know how yellow #6 is made. I don't eat animals or the bugs that eat off them, so stop putting dyes in my food, please.
