Why aren't we throwing these people in jail?!?
I just can't understand why Bush is not in jail. First they stole the election:
Nearly half of the 6 million American voters living abroad(3) never received their ballots -- or received them too late to vote(4) -- after the Pentagon unaccountably shut down a state-of-the-art Web site used to file overseas registrations.(5) A consulting firm called Sproul & Associates, which was hired by the Republican National Committee to register voters in six battleground states,(6) was discovered shredding Democratic registrations.(7) In New Mexico, which was decided by 5,988 votes,(8) malfunctioning machines mysteriously failed to properly register a presidential vote on more than 20,000 ballots.
...A review of the available data reveals that in Ohio alone, at least 357,000 voters, the overwhelming majority of them Democratic, were prevented from casting ballots or did not have their votes counted in 2004(12) -- more than enough to shift the results of an election decided by 118,601 votes.(13) (See Ohio's Missing Votes) In what may be the single most astounding fact from the election, one in every four Ohio citizens who registered to vote in 2004 showed up at the polls only to discover that they were not listed on the rolls, thanks to GOP efforts to stem the unprecedented flood of Democrats eager to cast ballots.(14) And that doesn’t even take into account the troubling evidence of outright fraud, which indicates that upwards of 80,000 votes for Kerry were counted instead for Bush. That alone is a swing of more than 160,000 votes -- enough to have put John Kerry in the White House.(15)
That is just a small example from a great Rolling Stone article. But the evidence gets dirtier, even. The whole Bush family had plans for war long before the election was stolen. They were positioned to make a killing in defense stocks, if they only had a war...
Bush’s dad has strong connections to the Carlyle Group, a massive private equity investment firm whose Chairman Emeritus is Frank Carlucci, a former college roommate of Donald Rumsfeld’s and former Defense Secretary under Ronald Reagan...
...Carlyle specializes in military and security investments, and with Bush Jr. in office, the company’s profits have soared; it received $677 million in contracts in 2002, then a whopping $2.1 billion in 2003. Carlyle’s investors currently enjoy an equity capital pool of over 44 billion dollars....
...George’s “Uncle Bucky” joined the board of military contractor Engineered Support Systems Inc. (ESSI) in 2000 and perhaps not surprisingly, the value of the company’s governmental contracts has strongly increased with Bush Jr. in office. Uncle Bucky earns monthly consulting fees as well as options to buy stock at favorable prices, and considering that ESSI’s stock tripled two weeks after 9/11 then settled into comfy territory, it’s safe to say that George’s uncle is doing quite well. In fact, Bucky cashed out on 8,438 stock options in January 2005, earning himself a cool $450,000 in the process. As of 2005, he still owned options on 45,000 more shares of the company’s stock and accrues more each year....
...Neil Mallon Bush...Neil earned $60,000 per year through the Crest Investment Company, a private firm generating contracts in Iraq....
...Marvin Pierce Bush...He is a co-founder of Winston Partners, a private investment firm whose investments in military and security firms profit from Bush’s “war on terror.”...He is on the board of HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc., which had insured parts of the World Trade Center... ...Marvin was also on the board of Securacom, a company which provided electronic security for both Dulles International Airport and the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001...
Another small example from a great Guerrilla News Network article.
Republicans don't care about peace. They only care about themselves and their money. They do not understand the concept of patriotism, unity and equality. They see these concepts as marketing logos that disguise their attempts to minimalize and marginalize the collective power of the American people. Until these people are brought to justice, Americans and any other human being associated with a desired resource, are in danger of being enslaved, imprisoned or killed by mislead US troops. How did our good intentioned troops become hit-men for corporate stock holders? How did the presidency become a monarchy, spewing fear and prejudice all over the land of the free? I want it to end, now. I want justice. I want a congress, not a president, to be our voice. There is too much chance for error in one human brain to leave in charge of the biggest superpower in the world. Let alone Bush's monkey brain. VOTE! AND VOLUNTEER TO MONITOR THE ELECTION PROCESS! peace.

Sequential Circuits Pro One

Yes, it is finally mine. I first used the Pro One back in 2001, when a good friend of mine needed me to babysit it until he moved. I had it for maybe a month or two, but it left a huge impression. Since then, I've been saving and watching ebay for a good deal. And what a deal I got!!
Now I can jump head first into electronic music. This keyboard has 28 knobs, now I could go into detail on what those knobs do, but I honestly don't know. I do know that it has 2 sequencer banks that can store up to 40 notes, two oscalators, an LFO and two appegiators. I've already hooked it up to ableton live and started making beats. I've been into psytrance for a long time, but now I can make my own! This keyboard was made in 1981 and is used by many types of musicians:
Battlecat (Tha Dogg Pound/Snoop Dogg)
Depeche Mode
Greg Hawkes of the Cars on "Just What I Needed"
Roger Manning of The Moog Cookbook and Jellyfish!
New Order
Nine Inch Nails
There were only 10,000 of these pro ones made so I feel very fortunate to have grabbed one in decent condition. I'll make sure to post my first tune when it's completed!

Burning Man 2006
So, it's been a while since I got back. I'm still glowing, believe it or not. I was burnt and tired but, man, it was so worth it. It was magical. The music was a powerful source of fuel. Techno overlapped techno from every camp and art car all day, all night, all week. I did not stop dancing the whole time! I would say that Burning Man is the artist’s Las Vegas for sure (minus the gambling). There is no economy, all my drinks were free. The only thing I could buy there was ice and coffee, that’s it. People put thousands of dollars into their theme camps just to throw a kick ass party, and there are literally hundreds of theme camps! For three days straight, I saw the sunset and the sunrise. Everyone rode decorated bikes! Holy shit, blah, blah, blah, I can’t put it into words! A religious experience, a spiritual re-awakening, love inspiring and healing all at the same time!!! I came away with a new found respect for generosity! Giving is magical! Burning Man is both!
That said, here are some highlights:
